Here I thought you would like a little background to the team that make frederfreeko, and what we have been up to.
I'm Fred, name-sake and co-founder of this site, (Temos Fhrad is the other "brains" to the ideal, but is not in the creative field of this site) I've been sculpting and painting commercialy for over 9 years, with  prop work for T.V. and for major theme park attractions. Now my work is solely "personal" art for the enjoyment of individual customers, and am exibiting in local galleries, as well as in london. Enjoy life, life is art.

Finegas. "Meditate, Expand, Understand".

Finegas is totaly self taught, an instinctive and meditive artist and has never felt the need to be told how or what to paint. This could explain the lack of formal qualifications. "I cant quite come to terms with the concept of being qualified. being creative is never ending. Therefor how can you be qualified? It's about the system needing to quantify. Either you are or you aren't creative!

Finegas sculpts, models, and works in a variety of medias depending on how the mood takes him. He is currently working in acrylics and mixed media and passionate about recycling, making his own canvases from reclaimed timber and old curtains.

A recuring theme in his work is the relationship between the spirit and the, apparantly, lifeless form of the statue/carving. Can they be imbued with the spirit/knowledge of those who created them . He believes so. They have the ability to speak down through the ages . It's down to the viewer to listen. Hence the motto at the head of the page. Dan Walls is a young punk artist currently living and working in Leeds.
After studiying art for 6 years and graduating from Leeds Metropolitain University I am going through a transitional period drifting between jobs and places experiencing new things and finding materials and inspiration along the way.
I often work in in a mixture of materials and techniques such as film , sculpture, painting ,modeling and instalation.
I have a wide range of skills, e.g; making my first film at 16 years old and building a 10  foot tall monster. I have a great love for the bizzare and macrarb often choosing to use broken toys ,found objects, and dead animals.
